POWERFUL STUFF 2016!— 18.08.2015

Five PhD Students of the ERC gave an undergraduate talk on fundamental power system concepts and areas of research. Discussing wind integration, offshore wind connection, frequency control, power system economics and demand side management.

DEATH OF THE KWH PRICE!?— 18.08.2015

A student presentation competition for placement in the national Thesis in Three final, followed by a panel discussion themed “The Death of the kWh Price !?” consisting of members from the Irish TSO, DSO, regulatory bodies, policy makers and other market players.


Three speakers, all with engineering degrees, all at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey, gave a twenty minute talk about their own entrepreneurial experience to date, sharing their key learnings with the audience.

A promotion of power systems for undergraduate students at UCD.  5 PhD students from the Electricity Research Centre, UCD, gave 10-15 min. introductions on various topics.

EPIC DAY — 13.03.2014
